Lula Rita Marcel Bourg

Lula Rita Marcel Bourg, 84, a native of Bayou Blue and a resident of Houma, died at 8:55 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2008. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Religious service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. She is survived by three sons, Loren R. Bourg Jr. of Houma, Joseph Charles Bourg of Redding, Calif., and Timothy Anthony Bourg of Houma; one daughter, Maris Cecilia Bratcher of Murphysburrough, Tenn.; one brother, Henry Marcel; three sisters, Louise Trosclair, Lucy Michel and Viola Dugas; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Loren Bourg Sr.; her parents, Henry Alexander Marcel and Laura Porche Marcel; and four sisters, Lizzie Authement, Bessie Hebert, Leonise Domangue and Susanna Crochet. She was a homemaker.
