James Franklin Drury, 81, a native of Fox, Okla., and resident of Houma, died at 5:10 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2008.
Visitation will be from 1:30 p.m. to funeral time Friday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel.
He is survived by his former wife, Peggy Kellar Drury of Houma; three sons, David L. Drury and wife, Beth, of Houma, Kurt S. Drury of Panama, Fla., and Gregory J. Drury and wife, Raye, of Lafayette; one daughter, Carol E. Bonvillain and husband, Chris, of Houma; one sister, Geraldine A. Bennett of Galveston, Texas; and nine grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse F. Drury and Agnes M. Holliday Drury; one brother, Charles E. Drury; and one sister, Camella Cox.
He was a retired drilling fluids engineer and a U.S. Navy veteran during World War II and the Korean War.
