Anna Mae Sagona McElroy, 76, a native of Ellendale, a former resident of Bourg and resident of Enterprise, Miss., died at 7:25 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2008.
Visitation will be from 7 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 1.
She is survived by one son, Charles McElroy Jr. and wife, Doris, of Tishomingo, Miss.; one daughter, Romettra Wilkins and husband, John, of Enterprise; two brothers, Frank Sagona Jr. of Vivian and Richard Sagona of Houma; one sister, Louise "LuLu" Ledet of Bayou Black; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles McElroy Sr.; her parents, Frank Sagona Sr. and Louise Ciccio Sagona; one son, Steven Paul McElroy; one brother, Anthony Sagona; and three sisters, Rita Lange, Cathy Reeves and Betty Vail.
She was a retired clerk with D.H. Holmes and a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church.
