Francis Smith

Francis August Smith Sr., 87, died Friday, January 25, 2013 at 9:32 AM. He was a native of Saint Louis, MO and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on from at Monday, January 28, 2013 from 9:00am to 11:00am at Annunziata Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 28, 2013 at 11:00am at Annunziata Catholic Church. Burial: Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Cemetery. He is survived by his, Spouse: Dorothy Fenton Smith Son: Francis Smith Jr and wife Maria Duplantis Smith, Daughters: Cynthia Smith Farrell and husband John Farrell, Margaret Smith Eschete and husband Dean Eschete, and Maria Regina Smith, Sister: Pamela Smith Zavadil, Grandchildren: 6 and Great Grandchildren: 4. He was preceded in death by his, Parents: Louis Smith and Augusta Eichorn Smith, and Granddaughter: Amelia Eschete. He was also preceeded in death by two sisters and four brothers. He was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church. He was an employee of Otis Engineering for 35 years until his retirement. He was active at Annunziata Catholic Church as a choir member and lector. He was also active in the community with the Le Petit Theater and a volunteer for many years at Project Learn. The family wishes to thank Dr. Ray Cinnater for his loving care. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to either the American Heart Association or the Leukemia Society.
