Eula DuBois Mazerac
Eula DuBois Mazerac, 86, a native of Houma and resident of Bourg, peacefully went to her rest, Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013.
Visitation is from 8 to 11 a.m., Saturday, January 19, 2013 at St. Ann in Bourg, with a funeral Mass beginning at 11 a.m., at St. Ann Catholic Church in Bourg, followed by burial in St. Francis Cemetery No. 2.
She is survived by her children, Marla Mazerac Blackwell and husband, Larry; Michael Mazerac and wife, Juanita Chauvin Mazerac; Linda Brunet; and Peggy Mazerac and companion, David LeBoeuf; 11 grandchildren, Stacie Mazerac Walker, Allison Mazerac, Mickey Mazerac, Jamie Mazerac, Kimberly Pellegrin Wimberly, Brandon Pellegrin, Madeline Cunningham, Ian Cunningham, Retta Vincent Linam, Shyla Falgout Cohran and Mac Falgout; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Mazerac Jr.; her parents, Jean Batiste and Victoria Lirette Dubois; four sisters, Marie Dubois Hornsby, Laurita Dubois Ledet, Leona Dubois Darcey and Eunice Dubois Naquin; one brother, Use' Dubois; and one grandson, Todd Vincent.
Mrs. Mazerac, like many women born in the 1920s, lived a life of struggle and endurance. Fortunately, upon meeting her only love, she was blessed with an abundance and profound happiness. Her husband, Lawrence Mazerac Jr., held her heart in his hands until he passed. Now reunited, she can sing to her husband for eternity.
She was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church.
