Robert “Bob” Hercy Reeves Jr.

Robert “Bob” Hercy Reeves Jr., 71, a native of Houma and a resident of Schriever, died at 9:25 a.m. Saturday Feb. 9, 2008. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until funeral time Monday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Prayer service will be at noon Monday at Chauvin Funeral Home Chapel. He is survived by his wife, June Duplantis Reeves of Schriever; two sons, Robert Paul Reeves Sr. and wife Patsy, and Rayford Charles Reeves and wife Alison, all of Houma; three stepdaughters, Melissa Domangue and husband Eric, Michelle Guidry and husband Whitney, all of Houma, and Jessica Higginbotham of Boston; one brother, Charles Reeves, of Covington; one sister, Margaret Reeves of Atlanta; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert H. Reeves Sr. and Sybil Blackwell Reeves. He was a retired vice president of RB Falcon Drilling and a past president of Two “R” Drilling. He was also a past member of the Board of Directors of Whitney National Bank and a parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made in Mr. Reeves’ name to the Louis Infant Center of Houma.
