Rita Brown Von Senden

Rita Brown Von Senden, 86, a native and resident of Houma, died at 7:40 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2008. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Prayer service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. She is survived by one son, Ronnie Von Senden of Houma; two daughters, Vicki Hebert and husband, David, of Houma, and Rita Gaither of Sherman, Texas; two sisters, Doris Picou and Daisy Riley of Houma; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall Edward Brown and Daisy Boudreaux Brown; two sons, Michael Von Senden and Terry Von Senden; and one brother, Marshall "Mickey" Brown. She was a retired payroll clerk with the City of Houma and a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.
