Alphonse Paul Breaux Jr., 73, a native of Bayou Blue and resident of Houma, died at 9:35 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Gertrude Theriot Breaux of Houma; one son, Bryan A. Breaux and wife, Tammy Breaux, of Houma; two daughters, Regina Robert and husband, Charles Robert Sr., of Ama, and June Etta Babin and husband, Rickey Babin, of Houma; two sisters, Ola Falgout and Mildred "Sis" LeBouef of Houma; six grandchildren, Zoe’ Breaux, Mario Randazzo and wife, Miranda, Charlie Robert Jr., Jessica Ledet, Michael Robert and Justin G. Babin; two great-grandchildren, Mario Randazzo Jr. and Tyler Robert; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alphonse B. Breaux Sr. and Lula Poincon Breaux; and two sisters, Florence Riviere and Charlene Brignac.
He was a loving devoted husband, father and brother. He was a meat cutter/butcher for more than 46 years with A & P Tea Co., National Super Market, Rouses and Conrad Packing Co. He also enjoyed carving decorative duck decoys, the outdoors and talking with friends and aquaintenances.
He was a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
