Berkley James Giroir, 69, born July 2, 1943 died at 3:30am on November 9, 2012.
He was a native and resident of Grand Caillou, La and a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church. Over the years, he worked for Samanie Packing Company, D’Luke Seafood, and retired from Chabert Medical Center.
Visitation will be from 6pm to 9pm on Sunday at Chauvin Funeral Home in Houma, La.
and 8:30am until funeral time on Monday at Holy Family Catholic Church. Followed Monday by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00am at Holy Family Catholic Church in Dulac, LA, with burial in Holy Family Catholic Cemetery.

Wife of 48 years, Geraldine "Deanie" Voisin Giroir;
2 Sons, Ryan James Giroir and his wife Carrie Lovell Giroir and Keith Simon Giroir and his wife Crystal Boudreaux Giroir,
6 grandchildren; Bryan “B.J” Giroir and wife Demetra, Kristen Giroir Benoit and husband Joey, Jonah Giroir, Hunter Giroir and Connor Giroir;
5 great grandchildren; Emma Claire Pontiff, Bryanna Giroir, Cohen Ryan Benoit and Channing Giroir and Chelsey Boudreaux and baby girl Benoit on the way.
Also survived by his 2 brothers; Ronald Giroir and wife Beverly and Xavier (Zack) Giroir Jr.;

Berkley was a kind, loving and gentle soul. He gave his family strength throughout his illness by accepting God’s will for him. The Giroir’s would like to extend their gratitude to Dr. Harry McGaw and the wonderful nurses and staff at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center, Terrebonne General Medical Center and Stat Home Health.
