Clara Lucille Belanger Holcomb, 78, a native and resident of Houma, died at 11:29 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2008.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Religious service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home chapel.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, James W. Holcomb of Houma; two sons, James "Jimmy" Holcomb and wife, Gayle Levron Holcomb, of Cary, N.C., and Leonard "Mike" Holcomb and wife, Brandi Smelley Holcomb, of Houma; three daughters, Barbara H. Boudreaux and husband, Mark, Coralyn H. McDonough and husband, Daniel, and Aimee Holcomb of Houma; two brothers, David Belanger of Houma and Richard Belanger of Arkansas; 12 grandchildren, Lori Brewer Nichols, Kristina B. Bobbitt, Kristal Boudreaux, Diane B. Racine, Dawn B. Dufrene, Megan Holcomb, Christopher Holcomb, Jonathan Holcomb, Morgan Holcomb, Alexander Holcomb, Miranda McDonough and Mathew McDonough; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard Belanger and Cora Blanchard Belanger; one grandchild, Rachael Boudreaux; four brothers, Leonard Belanger, Kenneth Belanger, Jimmy Belanger and Robert "Bobby" Belanger; and two sisters, Marion Belanger Richard and Barbara "Babs" Belanger Turner.
She was a homemaker.
