Lee Anthony Guidry Sr., 79, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, died at 9:34 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2008.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday at Chauvin Funeral home and from 10:30 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. Mass will be at noon Tuesday at the church with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park.
He is survived by his wife, Arletta Jackson Guidry of Houma; two sons, Lee Guidry Jr. of Bayou Blue and Toby W. Guidry of Prairieville; two daughters, Kyrne Calonge and Dina Toups of Houma; one brother, Charles Guidry of Bayou Dularge; six grandchildren, Kelli McNamara, Kati Calongne, Seth Guidry, Paul Guidry, Reed Fanguy and Anthony "Fisher" Guidry; and one great-grandchild, Jenna Grundon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sampson Guidry and Olga Marie Duplantis Guidry; two sons, Bryan Thomas Guidry and Aleta Wayne Guidry; one infant daughter; six brothers, Lloyd "Patot" Guidry, Samson "Coo" Guidry, Rudolph "Peco" Guidry, Raoul Guidry, Elward "Tutty" Guidry and Ralph Guidry; and two sisters, Lois Souther and Pearl Porche.
He was a retired foreman and pile driver for Texaco. He was a Private First Class in the Army during the Korean War.
He was a member of the Elks Lodge No. 1193 for 27 years and a past Elk of the Year.
