Miriam Helen Hebert Fanguy

Miriam Helen Hebert Fanguy, 87, a native of Houma and resident of Montegut, died at 10:42 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2008. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the church with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by one son, Royal Fanguy Jr. and wife, Goldie, of Atlanta; one daughter, Kathleen F. Burchfield and husband, James, of Houma; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Royal J. Fanguy Sr.; her parents, Elie Hebert and Ella Songe Hebert; and one brother, Murphy Hebert. She was a homemaker and retired seafood worker for Chauvin Brothers and Matherne Seafood for more than 40 years. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church
