Julia Josephine Marie Blanchard

Julia Josephine Marie Blanchard, 83, a native and resident of Houma, died at 9:25 a.m. Friday, Jan. 11, 2008. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Sunday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass will be at noon Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by one daughter, Chris Ashley and husband, Andy, of Houma; one brother, Gus Marie Sr. of Houma; one grandchild, Trinity Jude Collins and wife, Angellé Collins; and one great-grandchild, Daelyn Jude Collins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilbert Blanchard; her parents, Joseph Marie and Cecile Domangue Marie; four brothers, Morris Marie, Oris Marie, Norris Marie and Oneil Marie Sr.; and three sisters, Oneilia M. King, Ezar Dupre and Winona Voisin. She was a homemaker and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
