Nellie Marie Arceneaux Giroir, 89, a native of Humphreys and a resident of Gibson, died at 1:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, 2008.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Bayou Black. Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church, with internment in the church cemetery.
She is survived by two daughters, Janelle Bonvillain and husband, Gerald, and Carmelite Leonard and husband, Robert, all of Gibson; one step-son, Everette T. Giroir and wife, Vivian, of New Iberia; one step-daughter, Beulah Rodrigue and husband, Rod, of Houma; one sister, Meryl Portier of Houma; five grandchildren, Chancey Bonvillain and wife, Dina; Ryan Bonvillain and wife, Arlene, Jacinda Roach and husband, Bryan, Brooke Naquin and husband, Barrett, and Jade Leonard and fiancé, Josh Gaudet; six great-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; and nine step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lenus A. Giroir; her parents, Allen and Aline Hebert Arceneaux; and four brothers, Harvey Arceneaux, George Arceneaux, Benny Arceneaux and Ura Arceneaux.
She was homemaker and a member of the St. Anthony Altar Society.
She was a member of the Terrebonne Volunteers for Family and Community and a parishioner of St. Anthony Catholic Church.
