Elizabeth "Liz" Jane Exnicious Ducker, 73, a native of Las Vegas and a resident of Houma, died at 9 a.m. Tuesday Jan. 1, 2008, after a battle with cancer.
A private service was held Saturday, with internment at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
She is survived by two sons, Thomas Ingerman and Christopher Ingerman of Houston; two daughters, Connie Laird of Houston and Denise Jones of Bonita Springs, Fla.; one brother, Daniel "Danny" Lirette of Lafayette; two sisters, Geraldine "Jerrye" Lara of Metairie and Cynthia Cunningham of Houma; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and her companion, Harold Acosta.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Ducker; her parents, Paul Exnicious and Mildred Valerie Callahan Lirette; her stepfather, Audry Sam Lirette, who she loved dearly; and one brother, Clifford Exnicious.
She was a retired proof reader for Gulf Printing and a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
The family wishes to thank her companion, Harold Acosta, and his children for the love and affection they gave to "Bitsy," as the deceased was known to her family.
