Aldoris Marie Portier

Aldoris Marie Portier, 76, a native of Chauvin and resident of Waterproof, died at 3:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 3, 2008. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to funeral time today at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass will be at 1 p.m. today at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by two daughters, Sandra Ruble of Waterproof and Sherry Rhodes of Houma; one brother, Jimmy Portier of Galliano; two sisters, Laura Mae Portier of Baton Rouge and Dee Dee Pelgran of Houma; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Joseph Tivet; her second husband, Irby Mayeux; her parents, Edward Joseph Portier and Mary Lula Henry Portier; one son, Henry Joseph Tivet; two grandchildren, Rhonda Rhodes and Joey Prejean; two brothers, Harold and Johnny Portier; and two sisters, Azora Bergeron and Anna Portier. She was a homemaker/caretaker and a parishioner of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ferriday.
