Patty Sue Bennett Babin, 82, died Wednesday, October 31, 2012 at 6:10 AM. She was a native of Pampa, TX and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2012 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Monday, November 5, 2012 from 9:00 AM until Service time at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday November 5, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church Burial: Bayou Black Cemetery . She is survived by her, Sons, Carrol "Sandy" Babin, Jr and wife Barbara of Gig Harbor, WA David L Babin, Sr and wife Myrtle of Houma, LA, Leslie Babin and wife Vickie, of Lafayette, LA and Chris Babin and wife Julie of Lafayette, LA 9 Grandchildren, Sara Babin Johnson and husband Jay, Megan Babin, David Babin, Jr and wife Lynda, Shelly Babin Fontenot and husband Jonas, Ben Babin, Mason Babin, Will Babin, Chad Babin and wife Candi and Lane Babin 5 Great Grandchildren, Keely Pastor, Finn Babin Fontenot, Mylan London Babin, Lanvan Brooklyn Babin, Ashton James Babin Sister, Jo Dixon and Several Nieces and nephews . She was preceded in death by her, Husband of 54 years, Carrol Joseph Babin, Sr Parents, Ira Bennett and Beulah Godfrey Bennett and Sister in law, Ethel Colligon. She was a parishioner of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church. Patty Sue raised her sons for 18 years. For 8 1/2 years she was the manager of the S & H Green Stamp Company. She worked for 11 years at Terrebonne Bank and Trust and Premier Bank. She was the Assistant Vice President and Personal Trust Officer before retiring from the bank in 1986. Patty was an active member, correspondence secretary and member at large one year of the Terrebonne Fine Arts Guild, Inc. One of her greatest passions was cooking and competing in the annual Courier Cookbook Contest in which she won many numerous awards. As a regular contributor, several of her articles were published in the Editorial Section of The Houma Courier. In addition to her family she loved her dogs Sassy and Andy.
