Irwin “Vin” James LeBlanc Sr., 81, a native of Larose and a resident of Bourg, died Monday, Dec. 24, 2007.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at St. Ann Community Center in Bourg. Mass will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Arceneaux LeBlanc; seven sons, Michael LeBlanc, Mark LeBlanc, Kenneth LeBlanc and Charles LeBlanc, all of Bourg, David LeBlanc of Folsom, Daniel LeBlanc of Gray and Irwin LeBlanc Jr. of Culman, Ala.; five daughters, Linda Gullick of McComb, Miss., Darlene Pena’, Annette Thompson of Houma, Mona Hutchinson of Gray and Mary Faucheaux of Waggaman; one sister, Irma Martin of Cut Off; 61 grandchildren; and 71 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Louis LeBlanc and Florestine Boudreaux LeBlanc; four brothers, Elton LeBlanc, Clifton LeBlanc, Armond LeBlanc and Albert LeBlanc; and one sister, Maria Burgess.
He worked as a production foreman for Texaco. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church.
