Bernard "Mr. B." Lapeyrouse, 72, a native of Houma and a resident of Cocodrie, died Sunday, Dec. 23, 2007.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. until funeral time Monday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Mass will be held at 10 a.m. at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine Neil Lapeyrouse of Chauvin; two sons, Kurt Peter Lapeyrouse and Everette Paul Lapeyrouse and his wife Marla Champagne Lapeyrouse of Chauvin; two brothers, Joel Lapeyrouse of Houma and Cecil Lapeyrouse of Cocodrie; one sister, Priscella Redmond of Breaux Bridge; three grandchildren, Ross Everette Lapeyrouse, Macel Marie Lapeyrouse and Ruby Rae Lapeyrouse and one great-grandchild, Zaavan J. Campbell.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Ruby LeBlanc Lapeyrouse.
He was a retired oil-field worker with Placid Oil Company.
He was an avid camper and fisherman, a member of the Bayou Ramblers, Les Amie and an honorary member of the Knights of Columbus, 4th degree.
He was a parishoner of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
