Mercedes Ann Theriot Riche

Mercedes Ann Theriot Riche, 88, a native of Dularge and resident of Houma, died at 6:40 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Friday at St. Bernadette Catholic Church. Mass will be at noon Friday at the church, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery. She is survived by two sons, Derrill Riche and wife, Brenda, of Houma, and Ray Riche and wife, Tena, of Thibodaux; two daughters, Suzanne Usey and husband, Jimmie, of Schriever, and Janet Chaisson and husband, Danny, of Houma; two sisters, Editha Falgout and Jeanne Hebert of Houma; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Dewey Riche; her parents, Honora Theriot and Ida Vice Theriot; four brothers, Raul, Emile, Percy and Xavier Theriot; and three sisters, Audrey Daigle, Yvonne Pere and Alma Fanguy. She was a retired library secretary with Terrebonne Parish School Board and a parishioner of St. Bernadette Catholic Church.
