Bessie Marie Bourg

Bessie Marie Bourg, 83, a native of Bourg and resident of Montegut, died at 11:45 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by her former daughter-in-law, Bernadette Chauvin; seven grandchildren, Curt J. Bourg of Montegut, Kristie B. Falgout, Brandi Ledet of Houma, Phillip Ledet of Montegut, Nikki Bourgeois of Houma, Daniel Ledet of Montegut and Ricky Bourgeois of Houma; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, George P. Bourg; her parents, Paul Joseph Bourg and Daisy Gautreaux Bourg; one son, Freddie Joseph Bourg; one daughter, Kathie Ann Ledet; and two brothers, Dewey Bourg and Dudley Bourg. She was a homemaker and a member of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary Post No. 272. She was a parishioner of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
