Alvin Anthony Bergeron Jr., 71, a native and resident of Houma, died at 4:51 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2007.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time Friday at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
He is survived by his wife, Jane L. Blanchard Bergeron of Houma; his mother, Bernice V. Babin Bergeron of Houma; two daughters, Connie B. Smith and husband, Michael W. Smith of Lafayette, and Judy B. Williams and husband, Charlie Williams, of Pearl River; three brothers, James Bergeron, Robert Bergeron and Ralph Bergeron of Houma; two sisters, Jane Portier and June Rozands of Houma; and four grandchildren, April Smith Foster and husband, Daniel Foster, Amy Jane Smith, Dustin Williams and Brett Williams.
He was preceded in death by his father, Alvin Bergeron Sr.
He was a retired tool operator with Halliburton with 23 years of service and six years with Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office.
He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.
