Caliste Paul Hebert, 88, a native of Kraemer and resident of Houma, died at 12:15 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 2007.
Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. today at Holy Family Catholic Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Vivian Voisin Hebert of Houma; one daughter, Ruth H. Thomas and husband, James, of Houma; two sisters, Alta H. Pye of Houma and Estelle H. Desloatte of Georgia; three grandchildren, Angela Finlan of Washington State, Alyssa Russell of British Columbia and Amanda Manno of Houma; and seven great-grandchildren, Michael Larpenter, Bianca Lindholm, Yvonne Russell, Blake Russell, Luke Manno, Jake Manno and Gabrielle Manno.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alcee T. Hebert and Belle Ann Mahler Hebert; four brothers, Alcide, Leonard, Huey and Exo Hebert; and two sisters, Adeline H. Fanguy and Emily H. Hunter.
He was the retired owner of Caliste Hebert Groceries and a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was a parishioner of Holy Family Catholic Church.
