Joy Olivier Marie

Joy Olivier Marie, 61, a native and resident of Houma, died at 6 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 18, 2007. Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at St. Louis Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. She is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Russell Paul Marie; one son, Cory Jason Marie; one daughter, Shelly Marie Redmond and husband, Greg; two brothers, Gillis Olivier Jr. and wife, Jackie, and Dennis Olivier and wife, Paula; and three sisters, Brenda O. Guilbeau, Rita O. Guidry and husband, Donald, and Penne O. Dornan and husband, Mike. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gillis Olivier Sr. and Louise Vidal Olivier; and one sister, Sandra Olivier. She was a homemaker, a member of the Krewe of Aphrodite, St. Louis Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary, St. Louis Altar Society and St. Louis Bereavement Committee. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Louis Catholic Church, 2226 Bayou Blue Road, Houma, LA 70364, for Mass memorials. She was a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church.
