Enola Antoinette Dupre Ponville, 76, a native of Lafourche Parish and a resident of Bayou Blue, died at 4:43 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, 2007.
Visitation will be from 7 to 10 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. until funeral time Monday at St. Louis Catholic Church in Bayou Blue.
Mass will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2 in Houma.
She is survived by three sons, Michael Ponville and wife Pamela of Houma, Joseph A. Ponville Jr. and wife Mel of Egypt, Thomas Ponville and wife Tammy of Colorado Springs, Colo.; two daughters, Ellen Cassell and husband Jimmy of Weatherford, Texas, and Annette Weigel of Larose; one brother, Wickles Dupre Jr. of Gibson; two sisters, Therese Marcel of Bayou Blue, and Catherine Witherwax of Houma; eight grandchildren, Brad Marcel, Jessica P. Aysen, Joshua Ponville, Jacqulyne Ponville, David Cassell, Devin Ponville, Collin Ponville and Shelby Weigel; and two great-grandchildren, Matthew Ponville and Cameron Aysen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph “A.J.” Alphonse Ponville Sr.; her parents, Wickles Louis Dupre Sr. and Marguerite Olivia Dupre; and two brothers, Louis Dupre and Daniel Dupre.
She was a homemaker who was a member of the Genealogy Club.
She was a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church.
