Wilfred "Fred" Antoine Danos Sr., 91, a native of Lafourche Parish and resident of Houma, died at 5:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Belanger Danos of Houma; four daughters, Hazel D. Danos and husband, Gerald, of Lockport, Margo D. Martin and husband, Mark, of Houston, Elmire D. Bergeron and husband, Joey, and Eva D. Galeana and husband, Miguel, of Houma; two sons, Loyman "Rango" Danos and wife, Mary, of Lockport and Wilfred "Freddie" Danos Jr. and wife, Paula, of Houma; 16 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Danos and Elmire Orgeron Danos; four brothers, Jesty, Narcisse, Adolph and Loyman Danos; and two sisters, Viola Barrios and Lydia Cheramie.
He was a retired self-employed shrimper, oysterman, cattleman, trapper, gardener, hunter and oilfield handyman.
He was a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
