Russell “Rock” Joseph Trahan, 75, a native and resident of Houma, died at 6:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, 2007.
Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to funeral time today at Chauvin Funeral Home. Prayer service will be at 10 a.m. today at the funeral home chapel, with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Earline Pontiff Trahan of Houma; two sons, Frank Trahan and wife, Sharon, and Jimmy Trahan and wife, Cindy, of Houma; four daughters, Jackie Trahan, Cindy T. Eschete and husband, Timmy, Connie T. Lajaunie and husband, Ronnie, and Maxine T. Dubois and husband, Michael, of Houma; 10 grandchildren, Tiffany Corso, Dane Trahan, Holly Derouen, Timothy Lajaunie, Jamie Saulters, Brent Trahan, Adam Eschete, Jacob Trahan, Tiffany Dupre and Melissa Redmond; and nine great-grandchildren, Gerrett Blanchard, David Apgar, Bryson Carso Jr., Emma Corso, Tanner Corso, Kaitlyn Terrebonne, Mason Trahan, Jessica Trahan and Wesley Trahan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adam Trahan and Louwella Lirette Trahan; and one stepsister, Loretta King Pontiff.
He was a retired crane operator with McDermott for 23 years and a U.S. Army/Air Force veteran.
