Dorethea "Dora" Lemkowitz Madden, 88, a native of Cut Off and resident of Houma, died at 6 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007.

She is survived by one son, James Theodore "Ted" Brown; and one grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James "Jimmy" T. Brown; her parents, Dr. David Lemkowitz and Estelle Vantromp Lemkowitz; and three brothers, Julius, David and Decatur Lemkowitz
