Archie Ray Solet, 32, a native of Houma and resident of Dulac, died Saturday, Oct. 20, 2007.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Religious service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
He is survived by his wife, Brandy Billiot Solet of Dulac; his parents, Carolyn "Puny" Solet Ponder and Jerry Ponder of Smackover, Ark.; three sons, Chase Solet, Dillon Solet and Evan Solet of Dulac; five brothers, Calvin Solet and wife, Maria, of Marrero, Ernest "Parran" Solet, Danny Solet and wife, Carla, of Dulac, Maurice Solet and wife, Penny, of Delcambre and Dave Solet and wife, Misty, of Houma; two sisters, Tammy Bunker and husband, Patrick, of Norphlet, Ark., and Nela West of Smackover; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Chawdhry Dion and John Billiot of Dulac.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Maurice "Jimmy" and Laura Mae Solet; his great-grandparents, Mable and Evest Billiot and Ophelia and Enos Solet; one brother, Jerry Paul Ponder; one nephew, Koen Solet; and one uncle, Paul Alcide Solet.
He was employed with Barry’s House Leveling.
He loved spending time with his family and his boys. He enjoyed motorcycle riding.
