Norris John Naquin, 70, a native of Houma and resident of Bayou Blue, died at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, 2007.
Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Thursday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Friday at St. Louis Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley Gautreaux Naquin of Bayou Blue; three sons, Ronnie Naquin and wife, Nancy Nobles Naquin, Steve Naquin of Bayou Blue and Jimmy Naquin and wife, Liz Collins Naquin, of Houma; one daughter, Julie Naquin Mouton and husband, Joe Mouton Jr., of Bayou Blue; three stepsons, Robbie Dupre, Theryn Dupre and wife, Donna Poole Dupre, of Bayou Blue and Darren Dupre and wife, Dawn Poole Dupre, of Bourg; one stepdaughter, Dwynne Naquin and husband, Raunch, of Bayou Gauche; four sisters, Mary Ann Foret, Audrey Hebert, Patsy Duhon and Sharlene Naquin; four grandchildren; 12 step-grandchildren; and five step-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oliver Louis "Boy" Naquin and Aline Rogers Naquin; and one brother, Leo Joseph Naquin.
He was founder and owner of Deepwell Rentals. He was a member of Hercules Carnival Club, King Hercules 1998, and contributed to many charities. He loved to play golf and travel, loved to play cards (pedro) and tell a good joke. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend to all.
He was a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church.
