Gloria Rita Daigle Marcello, 87, a native of Terrebonne Parish and a resident of Houma, Louisiana went to her eternal rest on Tuesday, May 1, 2012.
Visitation will be from 10:00AM to funeral time on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at the Cathedral of St. Francis de Sales.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 12:00PM followed by burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery, No.2.
She is survived by her,
Husband of 64 years, Ray S. Marcello, Sr.;
Daughters, Bernadette Babin and husband Danny, Martha Boudreaux and husband Dwight, and Ursula Breaux and husband, The late Ricky Breaux;
Son, Sal Marcello and wife Beth;
One Brother, Milton Daigle and wife Beverly;
Grandchildren, Melissa Babin, Jeffrey Boudreaux and wife Rebecca, Lauren Andrews and husband Adam, Natalie Rivera and husband Todd,
Christopher Breaux and wife Kristi, Matthew Marcello, and Catherine Marcello;
Great grandchildren,Taylor Riche', Charlotte and William Boudreaux, Julia Rivera and Patrick Andrews;
Many special nieces and nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her,

Sisters, Virgie Junot, Dorothy George, Arlette Toups, Mae Thibodeaux and Thelma Davidson;
Son-in-law: Ricky Breaux;
Grandson: Jacob Lee Marcello;
In-Laws: Lucas and Archangel Marcello.
Gloria was a parishioner of the Cathedral of St. Francis de Sales. She was a registered nurse and graduate of Hotel Dieu School of Nursing in New Orleans. She nursed at Ellender’s Hospital and Maison de Ville Nursing Home.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Her greatest joy and love were her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank her loving care-givers, Vera and Barbara; the staff of Amedisys; Haydel Memorial Hospice Staff; Dr. Dickie Haydel and the Haydel Medical Clinic, Doctors and Staff, Terrebonne General CCU Unit and the third-floor staff.
