Daniel John Lirette Jr., 45, died Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 8:58 PM. He was a native of Chauvin, LA and resident of Chauvin, LA. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 from 9:00am to 11:00am at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 11:00am at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc.. with burial at Garden of Memories Cemetery. He is survived by his Spouse of 17 years: Carol Lirette of Chauvin LA; Son: Matthew Blake McAllister of Thibodaux LA; his Parents: Daniel Lirette Sr and Norma Adams Lirette of Chauvin LA; one Brother: Lance Michael Lirette and wife Poppy Dupre Lirette of Houma; one Sister: Summer Lirette Skarke and husband Bert of Chauvin LA; Nephews: Cye Lirette and Cade Lirette of Houma LA; Mother in Law: Virginia Granger Golden of Chauvin LA;and his special companions, his pet cats Duke and Callie. He was a member of Grand Caillou Baptist Church. He was a dedicated musician who toured the United States through his music. He was also an active member of the music community with his teaching and performing. He loved witnessing for Jesus through his participation on the Praise and Worship team at Grand Caillou Baptist Church. He was a G.E.D. instructor for project Learn-Laterre. He was loved dearly by his family and friends and will be missed. His favorite color was purple. The family would like to request that purple be worn at the services in celebration of his life.
