Kenneth Joseph King, 75, died Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 11:10 PM. He was a native of New Orleans, LA, resident of Houma, LA. and former resident of New Iberia, LA. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 9, 2012 from 9:00am to 10:30am at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, April 9, 2012 at 10:30am at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral . Burial: St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2. He is survived by his, Spouse: Gloria St. John King of Houma LA; Son: Kenneth King Jr. and wife Stacy Blakeman King of Houma LA; Daughters: Kelly King LaRussa and husband Michael of Houma LA and Kara King Griffin and husband Jason of Houma LA; Sister: Alice "Fe" King Haydel and husband Dr. Bobby Haydel of Houma LA; Grandchildren: Rebecca, William, Matthew, and Grant Michael King, Nicholas and Gigi Griffin, Olivia and Joseph LaRussa. He was preceded in death by his, Parents: Hoffman King and Alice Guidry King; Brothers: Hoffman "Bud" King Jr.; Sisters: Marlene King Wimbish and Kathryn King Gautreaux. He was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral. He was a Retired supervisor for Texaco, Inc. for 38 years! President of the Iberia Parish school board and past member for 11 years. He was an avid hunter, master craftsman, and fisherman. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
