Rita Marie Pellegrin Bergeron, 88, a native of Terrebonne Parish and resident of Houma, died at 3:37 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, 2007.
Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Sunday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by three sons, Riley, Ronnie and Lester Bergeron Jr. of Houma; three daughters, Nettie Foret and husband, Luby, Gloria Schouest and husband, Lance Sr., and Rose Malbrough and husband, Claude, of Houma; one brother, Armond "Co-Co" Pellegrin of Houma; two sisters, Joyce Cox of Gray and Brunella Crochet of Biloxi, Miss.; 12 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Bergeron Sr.; her parents, Edward J. Pellegrin Sr. and Cornellia Chaisson Pellegrin; two brothers, Edward "T-Noon" Pellegrin Jr. and Roy Pellegrin; and one sister, Albiana Mary Chaisson.
She was a homemaker and a parishioner of Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
