Jerry Pellegrin

Jerry Paul Pellegrin, 63, died Thursday, March 1, 2012. He was a native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Gray, LA. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, March 7, 2012 from Noon to 4:00pm at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. He is survived by his Wife Jane Lee Pellegrin of Houma LA, Sons Greg Pellegrin of Houma LA, Mark Pellegrin of Houma LA, Daughter Melissa Pellegrin Gill and husband Larry of Honolulu HI, Brother Herman Pellegrin Jr and wife Cathy of Houma LA, Sister Peggy Pellegrin Grabert and husband Richard of Houma LA, Grandchild Cole Burke, Step Sons Jason LeBeouf and wife Ashley of Jefferson LA, Ben LeBeouf and Fiance' Kara Brockman of Metairie LA and Step Duaghter Anice LeBeouf of Austin TX. He was preceded in death by his Parents Herman and Laura Templet Pellegrin He was a member/parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church. A special thanks to Tammy, Christie, and Haydel Hospice for all their special work and care. Jerry Pellegrin was an amazingly bright and positive person. He truly lived every minute of every day. Those who had the pleasure of knowing Jerry were inundated with love and generosity from him. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He viewed every challenge as an opportunity. He shined a positive light even when circumstances were dim. He focused on the best in others. You could always find him working outdoors or working on a project because those were the ways he enjoyed spending his time. He held his HCCH classmatess of '66 dear to his heart. A Veteran of the Vietnam War, he cherished his brothers in arms as part of his family. He will be forever in our hearts and truly missed.
