Brice Joseph Bernard, 76, a native and resident of Houma, died at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Aug. 27, 2007.
Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. Wednesday and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Liturgy of the Word will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in Magnolia Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Rita Hebert Bernard of Houma; four sons, Michael Anthony Bernard, Barry Paul Bernard, Timothy James Bernard and Randal John Bernard; one daughter, Nadine Ann Bernard; 10 grandchildren, Lindsey Bernard, Joseph Bernard, Jamie Bernard, Erin Bernard, Bethany Bernard, Lauren Bernard, Sarah Bernard, Spencer Bernard, Brett Bernard and Matthew Bernard; and his special friends, Walter and Sylvia Lemoine.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonce J. Bernard and Clarabelle Hotard Bernard.
He was retired owner of Bernard’s Bar and a U.S. Air Force veteran Captain.
He was a member of East Park Volunteer Fire Department, founder of Duck’s Unlimited of Terrebonne Parish and graduated from Terrebonne High School and Southeastern University. He loved to hunt and fish.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Tulane University Medical Center or St. Jude Hospital.
