Thelma Bergeron Babin, 90, a native and resident of Houma, died at 10:52 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 23, 2007.
Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home, and from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2.
She is survived by her son, Carroll Babin and wife, Nancy S. Babin, of Houma; one daughter, Marion Galliano of Houma; one son-in-law, Bruce Pearce of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; one daughter-in-law, Charlene Babin of Houma; one sister, Helen Prejean Breaux; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Youance Babin; her parents, Peter Bergeron and Emma Eschete Bergeron; one son, Milton Babin; one daughter, Sharon Pearce; one son-in-law, Jefferson Galliano; six brothers, Alvin “Jack” Bergeron, Bill Bergeron, Rufus Bergeron, Charles Bergeron, Ivy Bergeron and Albert Bergeron; four sisters, Annis Freeman, Laura Freeman, Clavia Bergeron and Leona Blanchard.
She was a retired baker at Vandebilt Catholic High School.

She was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church.
