Everard Theophile Walker Sr.

Everard Theophile Walker Sr., 94, a native and resident of Bourg, died at 4:44 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Saturday at St. Ann Catholic Church. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Norma Virginia Marie Blanchard Walker of Bourg; three sons, Everard T. "Bizz" Walker Jr. and wife, Patricia, Chad D. Walker and wife, Beverly, and Jon L. Walker and wife, Annette; one daughter, Linette W. Boquet and husband, Robert; one sister, Geraldine "Dolly" W. Callahan; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Theophile Walker and Caroline Josephine Whipple Walker; and five brothers, Gerald, Herman, Leslie, Archibald and Lloyd Walker. He was a retired head cook with Texaco Oil Co. for 30 years and was a sharpshooter in the U.S. Army in World War II. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, the Knights of Columbus Bourg Council No. 8932 3rd degree, charter member of Bourg Lions Club, Texaco Retirees Club and honorary member of Lucky 7th Armored Division. He was a parishioner of St. Ann Catholic Church.
