Cherie Lynette Margiotta Martin, 40, a native of New Orleans and resident of Chauvin, died at 8:05 a.m. Monday, Aug. 13, 2007. Visitation will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. She is survived by her mother and stepfather, Elizabeth Clements Hollingsworth and Jim Hollingsworth of Chauvin; her father, Philip Margiotta of New Orleans; two daughters, Jessica Martin and Elizabeth Martin of Chauvin; one brother, James Margiotta of Chauvin; one sister, Rhonda Margiotta of Chauvin; her adopted brother, Larry Hibbs of Lake Charles; and three grandchildren, Terrance James Sims, Ty’ren James Martin and La’Nae Akaya Steele. She was a homemaker.
