Joyce Picou Bonvillain, 75, a native of Chauvin and resident of Gray, died at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 11, 2007.
Visitation will be from 6 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Tuesday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Religious service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Joseph Bonvillain Sr. of Gray; one son, Micheal James Bonvillain of Houma; three daughters, Christine B. Elfer and husband, Mark, of Milton, Fla., Terry B. Straley and husband, Chris, of Medicine Park, Okla., and Phyllis Bonvillain of Gretna; one brother, Floyd Picou of Houma; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Xavier Picou and Edna Lapeyrouse Picou; one son, Harold Joseph Bonvillain Jr.; one daughter, Diane Mary Bonvillain; two brothers, Hayes Picou Sr. and Gene "L.J." Picou; and two sisters, Lois LeFort and Eulice Watkins.
She was a homemaker.
