Melvin Michael Hebert, 79, died Sunday, December 18, 2011 at 2:40 PM. He was a native and resident of Houma, LA. Visitation will be held on Monday, December 19, 2011 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Tuesday, December 20, 2011 from 8:30 AM until Service time at St. Eloi Catholic Church. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Eloi Catholic Church with burial in St. Eloi Catholic Church Cemetery. He is survived by his, Daughters, Levorne Rhodes and husband Gil, Loretta Morvant and husband Timothy; Stepdaughter, Sandra Dupre; Sister, Dolores Autin; 7 Grandchildren, 15 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great Great Grandchild. He was preceded in death by his, Wife, Verlin Liner Hebert; Parents, Abraham and Aurelia Hebert; Brothers, Bob Hebert and Marvel Hebert; Sisters, Francis Theriot and Melvia G. Robichaux; and Son in Law, Kenneth Dupre. He was a parishioner of St. Eloi Catholic Church.
