Imogene Jeffers Smith

Imogene Jeffers Smith, 70, a native of Vigo County, Ind., and resident of Houma, died at 1 a.m. Friday, July 20, 2007. She is survived by her mother, Retta Jane Overdorff Jeffers of West Terre Haute, Ind.; three sons, James Smith and wife, Venita, Frank Smith and wife, DeAnn, of Houma and Randy Smith and wife, Terri, of Longville; two brothers, Don Jeffers of Dennison, Ill., and Jack Jeffers of West Terre Haute; one sister, Violet Waldon of West Terre Haute; and eight grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremy, James, Amber, Heather, Kristina, Hali and Devyn Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, James H. Smith; her father, Jack Jeffers; and one daughter, Catherine Jane Smith. She was a homemaker.
