Ray Paul Fonseca, 63, a native of Houma and resident of Theriot, died at 5:05 p.m. Monday, July 9, 2007.
Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Thursday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Prayer service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home chapel, with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Guidroz Fonseca of Theriot; two sons, Ray P. Fonseca Jr. and wife, Sara, and Brian J. Fonseca and wife, Mary, of Houma; one daughter, Heather F. Domangue and husband, Raymond, of Bourg; one brother, James Fonseca of Pointe-aux-Chenes; two sisters, Nettie F. Chisholm and Elaine "Bunny" F. Burke of Houma; five grandchildren, Mandy, Desiree’, Brooke, Zoe and Meagan Fonseca; and one great-grandchild, Elizabeth Abbott.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raul Fonseca and Marie Boudreaux Fonseca; one brother, Earl Fonseca; and two sisters, Delphine F. Trahan and Doris F. Fremin.
He was a retired carpenter and was a Mason and Shriner.
He was a parishioner of St. Eloi Catholic Church.
