Marilyn Brister Bergeron, 70, a native of Ferriday and resident of Bayou Blue, died at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 4, 2007.
Funeral service was scheduled for noon today at Chauvin Funeral Home Chapel, with burial in Terrebonne Memorial Park Cemetery.
She is survived by four sons, John J. Bergeron and wife, Jeanette, of Gilliam, Mo., Keith J. Bergeron and wife, Natalie, of Houma, Terry L. Bergeron of Bayou Blue and Charles B. Bergeron and wife, Danna, of Houma; one daughter, Jenny B. Reading and husband, Chuck, of Bayou Blue; two brothers, Rupert Brister of Houma and Donald Brister of Bayou Blue; six grandchildren, Vallerie Henning, Jeffrey Bergeron, Bridgette Matherne, Patrick Reading, Katie Bergeron and Joshua Bennett; four great-grandchildren, John Paul, Emelie, Chandler and Ariana; three step-grandchildren; and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred J. Bergeron; her parents, Earl Smith Brister and Edna Scarbrough Brister; and one brother, Ronald Brister.
She was a retired dispatcher for Terrebonne and Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Offices.
