Merlin Joseph Pellegrin Sr., 64, a native and resident of Houma, died at 6:41 p.m. Wednesday, June 27, 2007.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Juanita Mary Billiot Pellegrin of Houma; two sons, Merlin Joseph Pellegrin Jr. of Houma and Petty Officer Third Class Gillis Paul Pellegrin of Norfolk, Va.; one daughter, Pamela Anne Pellegrin of Houma; three brothers, Murphy Pellegrin Jr., Donald Pellegrin and Robert "Bobby" Pellegrin of Houma; and two sisters, Lois Charpentier of Houma and Joyce Dietrick of Baton Rouge.
He was preceded in by his parents, Murphy Pellegrin and Clothilde Blanchard Pellegrin; one brother, Ernest Pellegrin; one sister, Mary Anne Babin; and one grandchild, Luke Barnes.
He was a hydraulic mechanic at Oil States and was a parishioner at Holy Rosary Catholic Church.
