Norma Hebert Wilson, 79, died Friday, August 5, 2011 at 2:40 PM.
She was a native of Montegut, LA and resident of Houma, LA.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 9, 2011 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Chauvin Funeral Home, Inc. and Wednesday, August 10, 2011 from 9:00 AM until service time at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral .
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 11:00 AM at St. Francis de Sales Cathedral with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery #2.
She is survived by her,
son, David Wilson and wife Priscilla, Lafayette, LA,
daughters, Laurie Wilson Gautreaux and husband Mark, Schriever, LA, Sharon Wilson Stenger, Houma, LA, Sheila Wilson Poiencot and husband David, Theriot, LA,
grandchildren, Jason Edward Wilson and wife Kristen, Bridgette Wilson Cenac and husband Daniel, Kayla Wilson Hardy and husband Parry, Taylor Wilson, Christy Doucet Diggs and husband Ricky, Brad William Doucet, Michelle "Mimi" Doucet Folse and husband Ryan, Jenna Elizabeth Stenger and Turner Wilson Miller, Gavin David Poiencot and Abbigail Marie Poiencot,
great grandchildren, Jackson, Evan, Lucas, Vivian, Remy, Esmee', Koen, Brittany, Brianna, Ricky Jr., Dylan, Devin,
sisters, Ruby Savoie and husband Weldon, Coralie Ellender and husband Wallace,
sisters in law, Lori Hebert and Hazel Hebert.
She was preceded in death by her,
husband, Horace "Frank" Howard Wilson,
parents, Anthony Paul Hebert and Hazel Blanchard Hebert,
brothers, Luby A. "Bob" Hebert and Reggie Hebert.
She was a parishioner of St. Francis de Sales Cathedral.
Norma was a previous business owner and homemaker. She was the first Football Sweetheart at Terrebonne High School where she was also a cheerleader and played women's basketball. She was a Desk and Derrick member and member of the Lion's Club, she also volunteered at Chabert Medical Center Gift Shop as well as many other local organizations.She enjoyed playing cards with many of her high school friends and cousins and playing Bingo and her occasional visits to the casino. She was a great mother and grandmother and a loving wife.
