Yvonne Marie Brunet Songe

Yvonne Marie Brunet Songe, 81, a native of Dularge and resident of Houma, died at 3:15 a.m. Friday, June 1, 2007. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Monday at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. She is survived by her husband, Harvey J. Songe of Houma; three daughters, Loretta Murry and husband, Woody, Janice Jakupzack and husband, Paul, and Catherine "Cathy" Butler and husband, Chris, all of Houma; one brother, Harvey J. Brunet of Houma; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur J. Brunet and Lena Hutchinson Brunet; and one brother, Alton J. Brunet. She was a retired secretary, was involved in church ministries at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church and Maria Immacolata Church and was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church.
