Catherine Ann Christen Adam, 78, a native of Des Allemands and resident of Houma, died at 8:15 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2007.
Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery.
She is survived by three sons, Delwen Adam and wife, Cynthia, of Cut Off, Steve Adam and wife, Holly, of California and D.J. Adam and wife, Cindy, of Houma; three daughters, Darla Gautier and husband, Lawrence, of Dulac, Lyla Buquet and husband, Earl, of Bayou Blue and Angie Landry and fiancé, Leonard Swiderski, of Bayou Black; three sisters, Lillian Bergeron, Clara Martin and Nora Bourgeois; 16 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delton Adam; her parents, Alfred Christen and Mary Touchard Christen; three brothers, Lester, Sullivan and Clyde Christen; and one sister, Shirley Knupple.
She was a homemaker.
