Dennis Joseph Dupre Sr.

Dennis Joseph Dupre Sr., 83, a native of Lafourche Parish and a resident of Bayou Blue, died at 4:40 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2007. Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at Chauvin Funeral Home and from 8:30 a.m. to funeral time Monday at St. Louis Catholic Church. Mass will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with burial in the church cemetery. He is survived by his wife, Virginia Redmond Dupre of Bayou Blue; one son, Dennis J. Dupre Jr. and wife, Lisa, of Bayou Blue; two sisters, Genevieve Badeaux of Marrero and Alice Kreamer of Houma; one grandson, Craig J. Dupre and wife, Jan; one step-granddaughter, Kerensa Grissom and husband, David; and one step-great-grandchild, Landen Grissom. He was preceded in death by his parents, Octave Dupre Sr. and Philomene LeBouef Dupre; one infant daughter, Darlene Dupre; four brothers, Octave Dupre Jr., Alex Dupre, Wallace Dupre and Sylvest Dupre; and two sisters, Maggie Dupre and Cecile Henry. He was a retired log runner with Texaco after 29 years of service. He was a parishioner of St. Louis Catholic Church.
