Patricia Fontana Bellanger, 69, a native of New Orleans and resident of Mathews, died at 6:40 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2007.
Visitation will be from 5 to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. to funeral time Friday at Chauvin Funeral Home. Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church, with burial in New Hope Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Bellanger of Mathews; two sons, Vincent Lusco and Kevin Lusco of Houma; two daughters, Angela Lusco Trahan and husband, Timothy, of Houma, and Kelly Lusco Merges and husband, Milan, of Charlotte, N.C.; three brothers, Charles Fontana of Mathews, Steve Fontana of Thibodaux and Peter Fontana of Texas; five sisters, Merian Henry, Rosemary Pizzolatto of Houma, Congetta Burke of Labadieville, Jeannie Ward of Ellisville, Miss., and Kathryn Mizell of Charlotte; and two grandchildren, Troy Lusco and Tyler Lusco of Houma.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Vincent Fontana and Congetta Solito Fontana; one son, Clint Lusco; and two sisters, Clara Fontana and Ann Bergeron.
She was a retired nurse with Raceland Manor Nursing Home and Evangeline Village Nursing Home.
She was a volunteer at Lafourche Parish Food Bank. She loved working in her garden and was a loving and dedicated caregiver to her patients.
She was a devout Catholic and a parishioner of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church.
